The Black Country branch of UKITA has organised an event on Networking on Friday 17th October, 12-2pm at the Centre of Engineering Excellence, Glaisher Drive, Wolverhampton.

Moira Mottram and Helen Nixon from Brand Intermedia, corporate branding and internet specialists based in Wolverhampton, will discuss the common networking mistakes people make and give practical advice and tips.

Moira explains: “Business networking is about making connections and building relationships with people. You don’t know who people are connected to until you start talking to them. But this can be frightening, especially when you’re first starting out in business.”

Helen knows only too well what its like as she was first introduced to networking 12 months ago when she joined Brand Intermedia. However, she has overcome her initial fears to become chair of a local network and a regular attendee at events.

Anyone interested in attending the event can register online at http://www.ukita.co.uk/events/(insertURL).  Cost of attendance is free to members and £10 plus VAT for non members and includes a buffet lunch. (Members need to log into to book a place so they do not get charged)

This event is sponsored by Brand Intermedia http://www.brandintermedia.co.uk/
