If you've been considering trading in Europe or building links with the European business community, this session could provide the perfect opportunity to learn more about European collaboration. To celebrate a successful year of Business Matters seminars, the Institute for Innovation & Enterprise at the University of Wolverhampton is delighted to present three excellent speakers:
Rob Harris, Deputy Director of the Institute for Innovation and Enterprise will present a short session detailing the University's work with Spain through the West Midlands Technology Network (WMTN) and CPPD (Continued Personal and Professional Development) programmes. This will include an introduction into how links were forged and developed and how these links may benefit you as a business working with the University.
John Bates, Senior Lecturer in Enterprise and Strategic Management will then present a session on Spanish business opportunities. The West Midlands and the area in Northern Spain where the University is collaborating have some striking similarities, which makes for a lot of synergy in the business cultures. John will explain how to search for potential opportunities and how to develop them into worthwhile links.
Special guest, Juan Carlos Focinos, University of Wolverhampton Spanish Business Consultant. will then give his overview as a Spanish Business man collaborating with the UK. Juan Carlos will raise both Business and National Acculturation issues, including how to make relationships workable and how to get the best from your links.
Whether you are interested in working with Spain or want an overview of collaborating in Europe, this session will give a good overview with focus on a practical example.
