Skillfair was set up in 2002 to provide new client opportunities to independent consultants of all kinds. We operate on a membership basis and don\'t take commission on any assignments placed through the site.

In the last few years we have developed a tender alert service specifically aimed at the consultancy and IT sectors, using our knowledge of the industry to match incoming projects to the skills and experience of our members. This means that our members receive daily alerts of opportunities ranging from £5k worth of consulting to £1m worth of major systems developments from government, councils, charities, universities and many other public bodies from across the UK.

In addition our direct client marketing generates requests from new clients in the private sector and from other service and consultancy organisations. Clients can use our site to search for specialist expertise (for example, a recent request was for a Korean speaking business planner) or to find associates and sub-contractors to help them with larger projects.

Skillfair membership is currently £100 per year (rising to £120 per year on 01/01/2008) excluding VAT.
